What is Xeomin (also known as Newtox or Smart-Tox)?
XEOMIN® is a botulinum toxin, similar to BOTOX® COSMETIC. However, XEOMIN® is a purer form of the toxin without the protein additives usually found in other anti-wrinkle tox. This purification process lowers the risk of treatment resistance and side effects. XEOMIN® was FDA approved in 2010 for temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles.
How long does Xeomin last?
XEOMIN® starts to relax the muscles within a week and lasts around 3 months. The actual time depends on the individual.
